One Day for STATE
On September 10, 2026, Jackrabbits everywhere will come together to celebrate the 10th annual One Day for STATE and a decade of generosity and SDSU pride.
One day of giving. A lifetime of impact.
SDSU’s annual giving day has become a beloved tradition not because of the dollars raised, or the nail-biting ambition of a 24-hour goal, or even the programs impacted at the university.
What sets One Day for STATE apart are the thousands of people joining in the celebration, connecting with a family of alumni and friends across the globe, and proving year after year that there’s nothing the yellow and blue community can’t do when we work together.
One Day for STATE shows how every Jackrabbit can make a difference — students see their generosity multiplied through challenge gifts, faculty and staff are inspired by the support of Jackrabbit Nation, and alumni and friends join together to pave the way for the next generation.

Real-life Impact
Thanks to the generosity of Jackrabbits, One Day for STATE has made a lasting impact—seen through examples like these:
National Recognition for Theater Students
SDSU theater students participated in the Kennedy Center American Collegiate Theater Festival, earning an invitation to perform in Des Moines and receiving four national awards. Donor support empowers students to elevate their craft and gain transformative educational and professional experiences.
Graduate Students Present Globally
Over 60 graduate students received travel awards to present research at conferences from Hawaii to Turkey. These experiences expand professional networks, highlight SDSU research, and give students the opportunity to represent the university on an international stage.
Hands-On Learning for Food Science
Support allowed the Food Science Club to attend the IFT: First Expo in Chicago, providing hands-on experiences to explore food industry trends, connect with students from across the country, and network with leading professionals. These opportunities help students gain practical skills and build connections that advance their careers.
